Subjects Taught
third grade

In 1987, I graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in Montgomery. After that I went to Judson College which is a small, Baptist women's college. There I earned a BA degree in religion and music. I graduated from Judson in 1990. Maaaaaaaany years later.... I returned to school and received a Master's in Elementary Education from AUM. I graduated from AUM in December of 2004.

After I was married, I was fortunate enough to get a job with Elmore County Schools as a school secretary. I was the secretary at SAC/ECAP for 5 years. When Eclectic Middle School opened, I was transferred there as their secretary. Through the wonderful influence and encouragement of our Assistant Principal, Temeyra McElrath, and my father (retired ECHS principal), I returned to school to get my teaching degree. I continued working at EMS while I went to school. After graduation in December of 2004, I resigned my position as secretary and was blessed to get a temporary job as a 3rd grade teacher at EES. The next year I was moved to my very own classroom in 3rd grade. This is my 12th full year as a teacher. What a job! What a blessing!

My wonderful husband (JT) and I will celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary in September. We have two children. Aaron is 21 and a senior at Berry College.  Olivia is 19 and a sophomore at the University of Alabama. My step-son, Jes, is 30 and he is a teacher too. We live in Eclectic and attend Thelma Baptist Church. We have three cats(Cleo, Mulligan, and Emma) and one little dog (Clouse).

I really enjoy spending time with my family. We always have a lot of fun!  We like to travel and go to movies. We also love college football. ROLL TIDE! and GO Vikings! I also enjoy reading, music, and watching movies.
