Subjects Taught
first grade

I attended Westerm Olin High School and served as the assistant pianist for the choir. Serving as a choir pianist followed me in my early college years to Lawson State Junior College, where I received an Associate B.S. degree. In 1973 I received a B.S. degree in Elementary Education at the University of Alabama and thirteen years later a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering Technology at Alabama A&M University.

I am Highly Qualified.

Most of my work  experience has been in some form of teaching. Since early teenage life as a Sunday School teacher, I taught  aspiring singers to harmonize in a choir,  piano to young and old, and taught basics to mentally challenged youngters.

After getting a B.S. degree in education,I began teaching at Gwin Elementary in Hoover, Alabama.

I've been exposed to pilot training, air traffic control, electrical engineering ( I've always felt 'the sky is the limit' and curiosity is an opportunity for education).

The joy of sharing what I have within, is still...WONDERFUL!

This is one of my favorite pictures because of former aspirations to become an astronaut...I reached for the stars and decided to stop and maintain at being a teacher (my first love).I started teaching in 1976.  I'm married to Jeffery Scroggins, an army veteran, I have three children, Stephen, Sarah, and Jeffery Jr. We're native Birminghamians, but moved to 'Flat Rock', Alabama in 1995...the country is the life for us.

I enjoy playing the piano and gardening. Waterfalls get my undivided attention!
